Of the 200 guitar billets here at RedwoodBurlSource, mostly are old growth redwood curly, and some burl. The vertical grain usually is a curly or fiddle back grain and the flat grain is a quilted look. Most have been dead for over 100 years as the wood is sustainably salvaged from old dead stumps and logs. The beautiful redwood guitars pictured below were done by clients.

I ship a lot of redwood guitar billets to Europe and the price to ship a blank 22″ x 15 x 2” is usually about $110 to $135. Not a bad price.
I do cut solid body or acoustic billets. Some are oversized.
I do discounts in quantities up to 50%.
